Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Working with systems, building reporting structures, creating automated data flows, working across multiple departments to facilitate accurate data entry.
2. Lead forecasting and analytics activities and bring key data-driven business insights to leaders within the commercial organization in a proactive manner.
3. Building monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts for production, feed, costs.
4. Directs the collection and analysis of relevant information concerning business and channel performance and provides insights and recommendations for improving performance.
5. Investigates analysis and forecasting techniques, new trends, and seeks ways to utilize data and analysis to support Company initiatives.
6. Work cross-functionally with Data management and leadership to ensure information and insights are being cascaded throughout the commercial organizations and supporting functions.
7. Collaborate with global brand teams, regions and markets as well as new product planning and business development to define and assess opportunities, threats and evaluate assets of interest.
8. Maintains regional forecast and budget inputs for marketing and sales channels. Coordinates with division to develop, revise and track budget and performance. Examines ways to improve processes and enhance accuracy.
9. Collaborate with commercial, marketing and finance leadership to define and quantify the impact of commercial market opportunities.
10. Create objective patient/volume/revenue outlook and work with business units to create accurate forecasts (budget and long-range strategic planning).
11. Liaison with Analytics vendors as needed.
12. Contribute to monthly patient reporting, analytics, and forecasting reviews for operations and commercial leadership; provide monthly updates to the business unit and leadership - outlook vs. forecast (integrating performance, analytics)
13. Consolidate and summarizes data for ad hoc analysis (e.g. ROI analysis)

Qualifications:
1 Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
2 Work experience, 2-5 years in a systems role, dealing with analytics, data, and planning.
3 Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools with data from EMR/EHR, Claims data, Sales Data, and Rx Data (e.g., IMS, Symphony, etc.).
4 Proven track record developing and supporting effective business systems.
5 Strong proven leadership, analytical and communication skills, ability to collaborate cross functionally with all stakeholders in an entrepreneurial team
6 Proven analytical skills. Thorough knowledge of and possess high skill level in advanced analytics and patient-based forecast modeling
7 Expertise with statistical software, databases and MS Office programs (e.g. advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, filtering, vlookup and macros)

CHAI’s global malaria program provides direct technical and operational support to countries around the globe to strengthen their malaria programs and reduce the burden of this preventable, treatable disease. We support governments to scale up effective interventions for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance, with the goals of sustainably reducing the number of malaria-related illnesses and deaths worldwide in the short-term and accelerating progress towards malaria elimination in the long term.

In parts of West Africa, CHAI provides technical and managerial assistance to national malaria programs in order to accelerate policy changes, ensure sufficient supply commodities, generate demand among health providers and patients and ensure adequate monitoring and troubleshooting mechanisms are in place to track progress. In addition, CHAI is also supporting national malaria programs to identify the bottlenecks and potential solutions in surveillance systems, specifically to improve the collection, reporting, analysis and use of data for programmatic decision-making. Benin and Burkina Faso are the newest additions to CHAI’s portfolio in the region, where initial efforts will be focused on conducting country-specific surveillance landscaping assessments. Similar assessments are expected to be conducted in two additional countries and therefore a total of four countries across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Overview of Role:

CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong public health experience and analytical skills to support the expanded surveillance and analytics scope of work across West Africa, with an initial focus on Benin and Burkina Faso. The project will initially focus on the design and implementation of a landscaping assessment to identify of critical technical, operational and financial bottlenecks in surveillance (data collection, reporting, analysis and feedback) at all levels of the health system (health facility up to national) in 2-4 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and provide prioritized recommendations to address these gaps. Specific activities will include: desktop review of relevant policy, scientific and grey literature, qualitative assessments of surveillance system performance through interviews with key stakeholders at national and local level, as well as other relevant partners, designing and implementing health facility survey to quantify the performance of surveillance system, and epidemiological analysis of malaria surveillance, case management, entomological and intervention data and key malaria indicators.

The individual will report to the Technical advisor for East, Central, West Africa and work with team members across CHAI’s Global, Regional and Country Malaria Teams and will therefore need to possess strong communication and organizational skills. It is expected that the Research Associate will need to collaborate with government programs, academics and public health agencies to ensure CHAI’s work is complementary and not duplicative other ongoing efforts. This position will be ideally based in Dakar, Senegal; or other countries within West Africa based on country leadership approvals.

Responsibilities:
- Implement analytical projects related to malaria epidemiology, intervention and surveillance, as required;
- Design and facilitate surveillance assessments and related projects: identifying knowledge gaps, defining research questions, protocol development, survey and sampling design, seeking IRB, formulating training material, training and monitoring survey data collectors, data management, analysis, and dissemination;
- Organize and merge available data, assessing its quality and suitability for analysis, data management and conduct statistical analyses;
- Appropriately and concisely visualize data in the form of charts and maps;
- Provide technical supervision, training and ad-hoc programmatic support to staff members involved in epidemiological activities such monitoring and evaluation of existing activities, study implementation and all data cleaning, management and analysis tasks;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across government, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions, with support from program managers;
- Synthesize results, translate them to national and sub-national government partners to support evidence-based decision making, and disseminate findings through high-quality presentations, reports, and publications internally and externally at international venues;
- Any other tasks identified.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or related field preferred;
- Fluent in English and French languages;
- 2 years of working experience with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, including in program management;
- Experience conducting and managing epidemiological surveys in country, including the analysis of surveillance and survey data;
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of surveillance systems and/or public health programs;
- Experience working and communicating with government officials and other external partners;
- Familiarity with disease surveillance and strengthening information systems;
- High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications;

Scope of the role

Specific activities:

Requirements:
a. Academic level of working and thinking (master’s degree)

Pour son programme en RDC, RCN J&D recrute un expatrié pour Kinshasa pour le poste de Coordonnateur Administration-Finances-Logistique. L’équipe de Kinshasa est composée d’environ 12 personnes, dont 3 expatriés.

Le Coordonnateur AFL travaille sous l’autorité directe du Chef de Mission. Il gère une équipe d’au moins 4 staffs nationaux directement et supervise techniquement, dans les domaines AFL, l’antenne de Lubumbashi et Goma.

Responsabilités:
- Gestion des finances et des opérations comptables :
o Contrôle et validation des comptabilités mensuelles
o Vérification des bonnes allocations budgétaires des dépenses y compris les imputations de cofinancement
o Planification de l’allocation des dépenses sur base annuelle et planification des cofinancements
o Planification des prévisionnels de dépenses en concertation rapprochée avec les équipes programmes
o Compilation et analyse des suivis budgétaires

Senior Manager Sales in South Africa , South Africa

Our client is a leader in the global container shipping and logistics industry and we are looking for a Senior Manager Sales in South Africa for them.

PURPOSE:

Overall Responsibility :
• Develop a growth strategy for Africa for the company working closely with senior management.
• Deliver on Key utilization
• Gaining knowledge of the specifics of the market in Africa
• Building and managing a team that reaches the sales goals set by the company

Job Specification - Key Accountabilities:
 Ownership of seventy percent of West African ship utilization
 In charge of mapping complete Free On Board segment for all key African countries
 Building a strong support network in regional offices around the world for promotion for outbound and inbound cargo in Africa.
 Improve together with the team the cargo mix for inbound cargo by country
 Responsible for preperation, execution and maintenance of African Free On Board tender list
 Willing to work after hours and do business trips on short notice.

Critical Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Technical Competencies:
▪ Preferably a degree in Business, Sales , Marketing or equivalent
▪ Comprehensive experience in logistics, trade manegement and / or liner shipping
▪ Knowledgable about the processes and workflow in the shipping industry
▪ Knowledge of African Market. Having lived in Africa is an added advantage
▪ Excellent command of spoken and written English. Ability to speak and write in French and Portuguese will be an advantage.
▪ Good knowledge of user applications systems (FIS, CRM, Web Focus/Hyperion) will also be an advantage. Otherwise the candidate will have to be keen to learn fast.
▪ Analytical with ability to identify market opportunities,
▪ Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
▪ Customer-oriented with positive attitude
▪ Can demonstrate leadership skills to lead and motivate a team
▪ Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
▪ Willing to work very hard to achieve results and targets.
