About You
This is a global position that sits within Diageo’s Sustainable Procurement structure and reports into the Regenerative Agriculture Lead.
The Global Sustainable Procurement team is an enabler of sustainability for the procurement function, which is a mixture of above-market resources focused on developing world class category strategies and in-market procurement resources focused on excellence in execution of category strategies and supplier performance management.
The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Diageo’s global regenerative agriculture strategy, in line with our 2030 Spirit of Progress ambition with a focus on key sourcing regions across Europe, US, India, Brazil, Mexico and East Africa.

Key Accountabilities Include
• Support the implementation of Diageo’s 2030 Spirit of Progress ambition, more specifically on enabling delivery against the following Diageo’s 2030 goals:
1) “Accelerating to a low carbon world” by reducing by 50% Diageo’s value chain (scope 3) carbon emissions, of which raw materials represent one third.
2) “Becoming sustainable by design” by developing regenerative agriculture pilots across key sourcing regions and providing local sourcing communities with agricultural skills and resources to build economic and environmental resilience.
3) “Preserving water for life” by improving water stewardship across Diageo’s supply chains.
• Support with the local coordination and implementation of regenerative agriculture projects, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams in an agile and deliveryoriented way.
• Co-lead, alongside technical partners, farmer engagement workshops, agronomy trainings and field visits representing Diageo locally.
• Engage suppliers, farmers and local stakeholders to build strong communities of practice and bring regenerative agriculture pilots to commercial scale.
• Coordinate data collection processes, by working alongside technical partners, to support development of supplier, raw material category, market, and brand-specific improvement plans.

About You
It be successful in role you will have excellent knowledge of economic, social and environmental sustainability challenges and leading sustainable sourcing approaches and best practice ideally in the FMCG sector.

It is crucial that you have experience in Corporate Sustainability, Sustainable Sourcing, Regenerative Agriculture, Agroecology or similar. Previous management consulting experience is a plus.
You will have market awareness and insights of agricultural commodity value chains.

It is essential that you have exceptional communication and influencing skills and experience partnering with multiple stakeholders at various different levels.
You will be Passionate about sustainability and creating value through value chain collaboration.

Your new role:
TERELEPAR was founded in 2001 by religious leaders of different faith communities in the then Teso region to contribute to peacekeeping in the region and to promote peaceful coexistence. TERELEPAR educates people about their rights in the area of land use and ownership and tries to contribute to non-violent mediation in acute cases of land expropriation and conflict. The partner organization aims to strengthen capacities for nonviolent management of land conflicts and to build appropriate spaces for dialogue that facilitate a shift in thinking toward nonviolence and create pathways for reconciliation. Through the organization's network, there are many opportunities for exchange and cooperation with other peace actors.

Conflicts in Uganda are often related to pastoralist lifestyles of the people. Cattle rustling among neighboring peoples and disputes over land use and ownership are among the most pressing causes of conflict. You will support the partner organization in developing non-violent solutions and train multipliers in civil conflict management and non-violent communication

Specifically, you will carry out the following tasks:

- You will support TERELEPAR in establishing a mediation center:
- Supporting the network work with the aim of generating financial means for the project work.
- Preparation and implementation of trainings in the field of peace work with the aim of building the capacity of the team.
- Together with the partner organization, develop strategies to resolve land conflicts and actively participate in their implementation.
- You will be responsible for the proper spending and management of funds in the field according to donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO's requirements. In doing so, you will work in partnership with the partner organization.

Your profile:
- You have a university degree in peace and conflict studies, political science or a related field and have already gained professional experience in non-European countries, preferably in Africa.
- You have experience in mediation and/or knowledge of peacebuilding methods and are able to communicate these well.
- You have very good English language skills.
- A driver's license and driving experience are mandatory.
- You are a citizen of the EU or Switzerland and as a member of a Christian church you convincingly support the goals and concerns of church development and peace work.

Director Construction & Engineering - Cape Town , South Africa

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this job is to oversee and direct construction projects from design conception until completion, including responsibility for project execution planning and implementation, and delivery of project according to agreed schedule and approved project budgets. Job purpose includes review of all design layout drawings at key stages of design, development and execution to ensure compliance with authorities’ and company requirements. The position is also responsible for ensuring the construction of new power plants that operate safely and efficiently.

Key duties and responsibilities
a) Work closely with the Development Team to optimise new projects from a design and construction standpoint, to ensure that:
o the plant design being proposed is the most appropriate
o the procurement strategy adequately balances risk and price
o Adequate technical expertise is mobilised when appropriate to support design & procurement
b) Lead the procurement process of specialist contractors that will participate in completion of the project work.
o Recruit Engineering firm that will support the tendering process
o Advise on the selection of materials used and other aspects of procurement.
c) Lead the Project Implementation Teams in the construction phase to support project delivery on time and budget and at required quality, as well as ensuring a smooth handover / transition of projects from the construction into the O&M phase.
o Recruit and organise the Project Implementation Team, including selection of the project site construction manager and an H&S manager
o Support the construction manager and regularly visit the construction site
o Coordinate with the O&M manager to make sure there is a smooth handover
d) Inculcate a safety culture in the offices, construction sites and during operation and maintenance of the plants.
o Ensure there are zero fatalities and no accidents in projects under construction
e) Review and manage all contracts relating to the sites under construction to ensure compliance by the company's obligations and the other contract parties respectively.
f) Day-to-day client management of internal and external stakeholders and clients for the portfolio of projects under construction.
g) Oversee conduct of financial, technical and operational risk assessments and advising on risks, opportunities and potential hazards.
h) Liaise with the Safety, Health, Environment and Community (SHEC) team to ensure relevant business activities such as land acquisition and processing of permits, licences, and approvals through government offices within the project jurisdictions are undertaken within the parameters of our business/company ethics.
i) Coordinate with the SHEC Director to ensure the goodwill to operate is secured from local community/stakeholders for each project.
j) Responsible for monthly progress reports to the Management Team, and quarterly and annual reporting to the Board and the Shareholders.
k) Interface with the company site construction manager (and if needed with staff/contractors on site) on the challenges, designs, progress etc.
l) Liaise with SHEC and site construction manager to ensure timely and procedural delivery of relevant Permits, Licences and Approvals including the Environmental permits.
m) Keep up to date with changing building legislation and codes of practice relating to design and construction.
n) Ensure structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easy to decipher.

 Must possess construction experience in construction of renewable energy plants, including from Sub-Saharan African countries
 Extensive travel is required
 Current Registration or membership with relevant regulatory body
