Kiboko is looking for a food and beverage manager, who can give lead to different teams of local chefs in variable circumstances.

Job description:
- Willing to be flexible in worklocation
- Supervising and monitoring of different small restaurants
- Able to work with stock count, budgeting, budget requests etc
- Able to work with little supervision
- Able to work in a young and dynamic team with different nationalities
- Working hand in hand with management of Kiboko ltd.
- Improving of menu and customer service
- Energetic and willing to make long days
- Quality check of the presented product

Requirements:
- Language: English and preferable other languages
- Experience in staff management
- Experience in restaurant and menu’s management
- Experience in daily running’s of restaurant and kitchen
- Able to work with budgets and daily reports.
- Others: Driver’s license

Kiboko Safaris is looking for an assistant who can supervise the construction of our new safari camp in Zambia. The new camp will be constructed on the banks of the Luangwa river on the edge of South Luangwa National Park.

Job description:
- Willing to life and work in a remote area
- Supervising and monitoring of a medium/large building project
- Able to work with stock count, budgeting, budget requests etc
- Able to work with little supervision
- Able to work in a young and dynamic team with different nationalities
- Working hand in hand with camp manager Kiboko Safaris
- Working hand in hand with head office in Lilongwe, Malawi
- Sending daily updates to head office in Lilongwe

Requirements:

connected together to make the safari of your choice.

Kiboko’s idyllic eco-friendly tented safari camp is located on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking a busy wildlife crossing point. The tented camp has 10 luxury tents which can contain 20 guests at a time. On walking distance you will find shared toilet block, swimming pool and a bar. At present Kiboko is constructing a new campsite within the same area.

Job description:
The camp manager is end responsible for the tented camp. He / she will be living on the premises and is first point of contact for the guests. The manager has main responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times, ensuring guests comfort and safety
- Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
- Entertaining and hosting, kitchen, tents and lunch area main areas of attention.
- Managing approximately 7 local staffmembers
- Checking the tents and kitchen on cleanliness on a daily base and check if all equipment is in order.

Main thing is to keep the customers satisfied whilst running all other work at the same time. A challenging job!

Requirements:
- Language: English and preferable other languages
- Experience: Hospitality, tourism, leadership skills, people manager
- Building and maintenance capacity recommended
- Others: Driver’s license

Teacher in Malawi , Malawi

We're looking for a teacher to teach full time at the local school next door to our Inn. You will be teaching kids between 4 and 6 years old, a class not exceeding 15 students. There will be a Malawian teacher to assist you but the main teaching job will be yours. Preferably we want you to have some experience teaching this age group, but first and foremost we need someone with passion for young children and teaching. We require you to commit for the whole school year. All the lessons will take place in English so we prefer native English speakers or equivalent.

You will be accommodated in a private self catering apartment at our Inn or in the guest wing of the host's house, this depends on availability at the hotel. You will have running water, shower, flush toilets, hot water, gas stove, microwave. Bed+ linen + mosquito nets will be available for you. You may use all the facilities the lodge has to offer such as the swimming pool, internet and the lush gardens. All your meals will be provided from the lodge restaurant and drinks at discounted price from the bar.

During school holidays you have the freedom to move wherever you so like. As your host is familiar with the Malawi tourism industry, he will be able to give you solid travel advice as well as arrange for discounted accommodation rates around the country. A vehicle will be available to you for moving around locally, note that this will be the host's personal vehicle so usage will be shared with him. There are always a few other volunteers around to socialize with. Most will hang out at Kande Beach (10 min. drive) or in Mayoka Village or Butterfly at Nkhata Bay (45 min. drive).
The hotel also has satellite TV, kayaks, motorboat and snorkel sets which will all be available to you.

Maintenance of the lodge. A minimum period of three months is required Yet preferably longer. We see options in two ways which can be a recurring one or a longer cooperation. Start date depending on possibilities for both parties.

Profile of the Support Team: Two people who know each other well and have been through a few stages of life together. Therefore an age indicator is between 30-60 years young. You feel comfortable with yourselves and with each other. You are self-assured and have respect for other ones property. The main characteristics are: trustworthy, extremely positive, independent, technical, communicative, flexible, entrepreneurial attitude throughout, hands-on, easy going, cooperative and thick skinned. Furthermore you find fulfillment in making people happy, sharing good things, cooking for guests and interact with different cultures. And you see it as a challenge to organize all behind the scenes so guests’ experiences are GREAT, not just good. Your mentality is that of never giving up, after a fail you stand up, learn and continue and you have a well-developed sense of pragmatism and you can keep everything in perspective.

You are comfortable in a bush environment, quiet and remote and love dogs. Comfortable living in the bush without permanent power. You are able to keep yourselves busy when no guests are present at the lodge and you are willing to run the extra 25.000 miles at busy times. You get energized by helping Ama Amanzi getting more guests in and keep up the excellent maintenance. And you strive to continue our 5 out of 5 star rating! You continue the excellent status which Ama Amanzi has accomplished over the last few years of her existence. The ideal team is mature in age, has some management experience, preferably some hospitality experience, know what it is like to live and work in Africa and is very stable both personal and business wise. Close cooperation with the director is key and executing existing procedures and proven successful methods and approaches is expected.
We assume you are comfortable with MS Office and modern media and have some understanding of business administration. Fluent in English is important and we consider speaking Afrikaans as a "nice to have". An extremely positive attitude is your way of life, throughout all; you understand that we only reflect positive thoughts towards guests. You are flexible and capable of making plans the very last minute. You have a professional attitude 24/7. You as the Support Team is seen as the operational management team of the lodge and has quite a bit of responsibilities. You will sometimes encounter hard and difficult times yet the joy, fulfillment and fun will prevail.

What are your tasks?
• Receive and accommodate guests, make them feel at home
• Manage the team and helping with all tasks (hands on!)
• Some simple administrative tasks
• Make sure facilities and grounds are properly maintained
• Stock control and shopping / ordering for the lodge
• Manages the small lodge restaurant, and ensures quality and service
• Guest relations and ensures high level of customer service

• WE prefer somebody who has horse riding experience and is also experienced in grooming and general caretaking of horses and we prefer somebody that is a wildlife guide (FGASA level 1) Not saying that somebody with limited horse riding experience or no FGASA can not respond.
