JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an Assistant Safari Manager who is responsible for the daily running of our safaris in Malawi and Zambia. As Assistant Manager you are flexible, have strong communication skills and like to work in a young and enthusiastic team. You will work together with other managers (Expat/ Malawian) to the needs of the company and customers. Daily tasks are: Shopping, budgeting, advertisement, logistic management and quality control.

Job description:
- The Host is end responsible for the lodge. He / she will is first point of contact for the guests. The host has main responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times, ensuring guests comfort and safety
- Deal with all enquires in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
- Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
- Prepare a weekly dinner menu together with the kitchen staff. Train and monitor the kitchen staff about food, drinks and nutrition, serving standards and kitchen hygiene.
- Entertaining and hosting the guests
- Reception, restaurant and the bar are main areas of attention
- Also managing approximately 13 staff of gardeners, builders, receptionist, bar staff, cooks and cleaners is a continues task. Every day is different and the manager will run into several issues every day.
- Checking the rooms on cleanliness on a daily base and check if all equipment is in order.

Main thing is to keep the customers satisfied whilst running all other work at the same time. A challenging job!

Requirements:
- Language: English and preferable other languages
- Experience: Hospitality, tourism, leadership skills, people manager
- Affinity with Food and willing to work together with the cooks to improve their knowledge of food and recipes.
- Others: Driver’s license

MamboViewPoint is a genuine Eco Lodge which is situated on the Northern edge of the Usambara Mountains in Tanzania close to the village Mambo. MamboViewPoint’s main goal is not the lodge or making profits but to improve economics in this mainly poor area. MamboViewPoint is a stable base and source of income, but the main goal is to support and promote all kind of projects, not by donations but by economics and empowerment. The projects are supported by the foundation MamboSteunPunt in the Netherlands and realized by the Tanzanian NGO JamiiSawa in Mambo.

Tasks

Requirements:
• Experience in or affinity with hotel management is a recommendation
• Experience with working in Africa or other third world countries is a recommendation
• Relevant education and skills
• Flexibility and perseverance are required
• Skills for cooperation are mandatory
• Affinity with development
• Language English, Swahili or willing to learn some Swahili recommended
• Computer skills
• An open mind and prepared to think out of the box

Speke Bay Lodge in Tanzania is looking for a manager, manager couple or buyer.

After 25 years, the two owners of Speke Bay Lodge in Tanzania want to retire from the daily running of the lodge. They are looking at various options, including a full or partial sale, go along with or merge into a chain of lodges, or find a manager or manager couple, where in the longer term there may also be ownership / co-ownership.

The lodge has 10 rooms and 12 hotel-staff members divided over service, kitchen and housekeeping. In maintenance, garden and security there are another 12 employees.

For a manager, experience in the food and beverage sector and/or a finalized hotel study is preferred, with the emphasis on restaurant/kitchen and guest-relations. The manager has to add quality in service, food and presentation. The lodge has expansion plans and the manager has to be creative with a lot of initiative and dedication.

The manager is working together with (one of) the owners in a well-organized, well-maintained and safe environment with experienced staff.

The lodge is situated in a beautiful but remote area. The remoteness requires a self-starting and stable personality who can keep him/herself entertained and finds fulfillment in the job, hobby's and the things nature and the outdoors has to offer.

Starting salary with all costs paid is $ 600 with a trial-period of 3 months. After that the salary can be raised depending on capabilities of the manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a logistic/workshop manager who is responsible for our transport/logistics. Kiboko has a lot of vehicles which are used all time. As a manager you make sure that all vehicles get serviced, the paperwork is in order and that everything is ready to be used by our safari department. Apart from the mechanic jobs, you are responsible for the daily running of our maintenance team and its building projects. We require a huge amount of flexibility as you will also assist our safari department when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Vehicle maintenance skills, especially for medium sized transport vehicles (Landrover, Mercedes Benz Sprinter, Toyota Coaster).
- Experience is heavy good vehicles.
- Technical understanding of daily maintenance (plumbing, electricity etc).
- Language: English and preferable other languages
- Experience: Hospitality, tourism, leadership skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Others: Driver’s license
