Drive our daily operations and local relations
As agency manager, you manage a young team of manual workers with little or no formal education located at the local ports as well as maintain relations with our customers. • Providing operational feedback and reporting to clients while ensuring that all deadlines are met.

Solid operation and management experience
• You have solid experience as an operations or agency manager.
• You have 5+ years of experience working in West- and/or Central Africa.
• You have demonstrated an ability to lead and manage staff.
• You are fluent in English / French.
• It is an advantage if you have experience within mining and project cargo.

Technical Manager , Africa

Reporting to the COO the Technical Manager provides leadership and direction for the Maintenance and Repair Team, ensuring all equipment and facilities operate at their optimum level of safety, reliability, availability & efficiency.

The Technical Manager is responsible for:

• Compliance with local HSSE policies & procedures, enforcing safe working practices and promoting a safe workplace. Promoting the delivery of continuous improvement and constant drive towards incident free operations. Ensuring the development and adoption of best practices and ways of working developed through controlled management of change. Preserving energy efficiency by using natural resources effectively and efficiently, protecting the natural environment.
• Providing leadership and strategy to Equipment Managers and specialists, and consistently ensuring that service of the highest quality is delivered to customers.
• Defining and tracking global and local KPIs and targets whilst reporting deviations from targets, developing improvement actions where necessary.
• Deploying the machinery, procedures and workforce needed to accomplish the operational plan, working closely with all support functions to ensure stability and high productivity levels, and encouraging the use of new processes, procedures and technology to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
• Developing and managing 5-year M&R business plan for terminal.
• Implementing global maintenance strategies for all terminal and facilities maintenance, considering local legislation and variances.
• Performing medium and long-term planning for asset purchase, refurbishment and disposal to maintain overall asset integrity and ensure achievement of operational targets, considering total cost of ownership.
• Accountable for the integrity of all terminal assets, facilities and infrastructure.
• Ensuring inspections, surveys and audits are performed as required on all assets.
• Ensuring all operational and technical risks are identified, reviewed and suitable mitigations are put in place.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• Minimum university degree in engineering or relevant field.
• Five years’ experience leading maintenance and repair departments.
• Excellent organization skills, including planning, directing and monitoring activities.
• Good problem-solving skills, with an ability to define the problem, identify solutions and select the best solution.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Global Investments the Senior Manager Business Development:

• Drives and manages investments in port projects globally.
• Generates business and investment opportunities in port projects globally.
• Leads the creation of quality bids, tender documents and similar, and manages the negotiation process with ministries, port authorities, local partners and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provides leadership for the continuous (financial) evaluation of investment opportunities, develops business cases, prepares financial models and performs feasibility studies to obtain shareholder approval for port investments.
• Networks to build and maintain strategic relationships towards further business generation, and assists with business development through public relations, events, media and engaging with stakeholders including joint venture partners, government authorities, shipping lines and consultants.
• Assists with legal negotiations towards deal closure.
• Assists, together with project team, with the initial implementation of secured projects.
• Assists with the creation and management of Government relations and assists with policy lobby.

THE CANDIDATE
The right candidate is an engaging and focused commercial executive, who has a strong understanding of the port business and a proven track-record of successfully securing concession agreements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• At least 8-10 years of working in a Business Development role within the port business
• A degree in marketing or sales from a reputed institution
• Entrepreneurial, with a keen eye for business opportunities
• Excellent business acumen, high energy and drive
• A result-oriented negotiator
• Must be able to demonstrate exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships
• In-depth understanding of financial concepts and financial models

Project Director in Ghana , Ghana

The Project Director, is a first member of the project implementation team for the port project and serves as a strategic partner and advisor to the client’s management and Director – Global Investments, and shall be responsible for the successful delivery of the project concession, the transaction and partnership structure, the relevant approval processes and then the successful implementation of the project after taking handover of the concession area including but not limited to construction, financial, operational, administrative and customer creation and service.
The Project Director position will liaise with the Director – Global Investments on matters pertaining to stakeholder management with respect to the concession negotiations, signing and approval processes, partnership structures, concession area handover, construction tender and management, community relations, and political sensitivities that may or will impact the successful delivery of the project concession and its post-handover implementation. THE CANDIDATE:

 Experience with managing FIDIC contracts.

 skills.
 Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
