Summary
My General motivation to look for a perspective in Africa? Well , i discovered the continent so many times bey vacation and business trips. I made friendship with wonderful people and you either get shocked or addicted to Africa. I am the latter one.
Getting closer to the End of my professional life I am looking for new challenges where I can contribute my skills such as a deep cultural awareness, the ability to manage people and processes, establish business and to educate and train people. having worked for high-tech companies in a world-wide business environment i am personally not limited to this area of business.
Experience
Design and implement new service business opportunities in line with the ongoing merging of the service structures and processes of ATLAS ELEKTRONIK and tk MS.
Successfully established in co-operation with German and foreign professors from various institutions a Master of Science Program (M.Sc.) for naval architecture. This program is a spin-off of a shipbuilding program, which allows the successful students getting a job in Europe.
Taking the responsibility as deputy project manager for ILS for a running export contract in the delivery of surface vessels (frigate type) and managing all issues related to training, documentation and spare parts as part of this contract.
Gain and maintain customer trust by directing the development of customised technical training programmes.
Architected the business expansion plan into a new training services model transitioning from a cost centre into a customer-centric profit centre. Managed a department of 30 engineers and technicians providing motivation for the department to have a commitment to continuous improvement regarding product development and marketing programs to drive organic revenue growth in the international market for military virtual training and simulation.
Played a dual executive leadership role as Director of International Business Development at ATLAS ELEKTRONIK in Bremen and Member of the Board of the joint venture company’s Atlas Defence Technology in Manjung, Malaysia.
Restructured the entire executive management team, product development strategy, and overall go-to-market programmes of the joint venture company.
Introduced new product and service offerings including systems engineering and logistics support to solidify the company as a market leader. Safeguarded profitability by ensuring competitive contract bidding proposals. Managed internal company growth overseeing the recruiting, training, and development of local agents.
Promoted three times in the company from Systems Engineering and Sales roles into an executive leadership role influencing overall corporate business strategy, product development, and go-to-market operations.
Analysed and enhanced all core marketing, product development, and customer engagement strategies to position the company for substantial international growth in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
- Naval Aviation (navigator / on-scene commander on-board of maritime patrol aircraft and SAR helicopters)
- Coordinated and guided airborne surveillance missions on board of a maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) during Sharp Guard, which was initiated to conduct operations to monitor and enforce compliance with UN sanctions in accordance with UN Security Council Resolutions (UNSCR) ( 713, 757,787, 820 and 943).
- Lead complex maritime search and rescue missions as on-scene commander of a SAR helicopter within the dedicated maritime SAR area of Germany.
