As Team Coordinator, I’m responsible for the strategic and operational management of all aquaculture related activities in the Food and Nutrition Security Project (FNS-R) in Rakhine State, Myanmar.
The identification of necessary areas of intervention, along the value chain to improve the sector and increase the availability of aquaculture products that are produced sustainably by small-scale producers and local fish processors, thus provide affordable nutritious food and incomes is my field of work.
I’m responsible for the management of the local teams and the coordination between partners and external stakeholders, such as contractors, suppliers, NGO’s and private sector partners.
As low production rates have multidimensional causes, among inadequate production materials and a lack of technical knowledge, efforts to improve the aquaculture sector and therefore enable its potential for food security, must be achieved by a multi sector approach.

As HOD, I was responsible for the result of the whole department.
I supervised and coordinated large management teams which incorporates the production team, sales and marketing teams, customer service team, procurement team, Human Resources team and other administrative units.
The department produces table size fish, juveniles, trades with Agri goods and produces higher value-added products which are sold to restaurants, hotels and supermarkets. Main business is B2B, but during the COVID 19 lockdown, 1/3 of the sales have been shifted to B2C.
Achieved a significant production and sales increase by motivating an efficient, capable and high-performing team to highest excellent standards.
Omar farming Ltd. is a large scale Agriculture company in the north of Uganda.
International investors started the production of Maize, Soya and other cash crops.
It was a pleasure to join this well organized company and see what you can achieve with discipline and a well minded cooperation with the local inhabitants.
The internship was mainly focused on business development, but covered overall:

- General farm management
- Interaction and regularization with the local community and government

My responsibility was traveling through South Sudan and documentation and reporting to the management about the progress on different construction sites.
