I conduct project procurement risks assessment, risk identification, risk analysis are managed and minimised throughout the procurement cycle and project cycle.
I represent private sector companies during bank/donor project supervision missions, responding to issues raised in the aid memoires for contractors, suppliers and consultants as Subject Matter Expert.
I conduct supplier performance appraisals and staff appraisal in line with agreed key performance indicators and recommend strategies to improve staff performance and supplier relations

I worked at BWSSIP Project as an International Procurement Consultant after passing international selection process. I joined the project to be the strategic key Procurement Expert to oversee the smooth implementation of the Project, capacity development, project risk assessment, and managed skills transfer to the Procurement Manager for the City of Bulawayo to take over the Project Implementation. Was focal point in collaboration between Project Team and key stakeholders including government and donors
As a Key Procurement Expert I provided leadership, supervision and management by developing procurement plans, financial plans for the project and prepared the first bidding documents to improve the project disbursement rate and overall project implementation rate and performance within the first six months after project launch.
I developed systems and procurement strategies that allowed responding to emergency situations for the City of Bulawayo
I led the implementation of sustainable and green procurement initiatives at BWSSIP Project during project planning, execution and quality control to ensure compliance with green specification and contracts.
I conducted market research using international tools to identify the market, suppliers and analyse supply and product risks and as a result potential risks to the effective project implementation were reduced and managed throughout the project life cycle.
As part of the capacity development I prepared training materials in with African Development Bank and World Bank procurement guidelines and procurement policy and conducted various procurement training
Lead the preparation or updating of the project procurement strategy for development (PPSD) document to ensure achievement of project development objectives (PDO) in line with financial rules and regulations and procurement regulations. Prepare Annual Action Plan/financial; prepare bid documents, contracts and manage post award activities.
I coordinated, supervised, monitored the planning and implementation of all the activities under the Project and ensure that they are executed in accordance with the Grant Agreement with AfDB and Project Appraisal Report; lead in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to AfDB

I joined Local Economic Development Project funded by AfDB, Urban Development Project funded by German Development and MASAF Project after a very competitive hiring process for the role of Procurement Specialist to provide leadership and management for the three Projects that funded by various donors to ensure compliance with each donor requirements from 2011 to 2016 when the projects were successfully completed after conducting project completion report for which I was a leading Expert. During my tenure as a Procurement Specialist at LDF I led the Project Team and donors in conducting project appraisals for new project funding which was successful with World Bank and KfW. Was focal point in collaboration between Project Team and key stakeholders including government and donors. In particular I performed the following key functions:
I led the preparation of both operation and procurement manual as a tool for project implementation and also a key required document by both multilateral and bilateral development partners.
I was exposed to working and responding to emergency situations at National level as a result of natural disasters due to floods, famine, hunger and outbreak of diseases. I developed procurement systems and strategies that respond to emergency procurement and meeting urgent needs.
I prepared and submitted to International Development Association(IDA) and African Development Bank, Germany Development Bank, USAID and other International Organisations acceptable procurement plans for approval and publication of General Procurement Notices (GPN)
I managed to successfully establish and implement the Enterprise Resources/SAP system for project and procurement management and tracking project activities
I acquired training in public private partnership contract arrangements and successfully piloted PPP contracts under LED Project financed by AfDB and private sector to ensure sustainability and ownership.
I conceptualized, elaborated and implemented Contract/procurement strategy including tendering, evaluation and Implementation. Elaborated and implemented operation strategies for Goods, Works and Consultancy procurement and management office and accommodation facilities for the Project Unit.
I provided leadership and management of Warehouse and Distribution activities of the project both inbound and outbound logistics aspects including staff supervision and performance management of staff as well as conducting performance appraisal of all supply chain actors and recommend best strategies to improve supply chain performers.
I prepared training manual for all Council staff and conducting training to grant/loan recipient Agencies and to Procurement staff and ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations. This followed the review of implementing agencies procurement systems and procedures and capacity assessment.
I established and implemented proper project/procurement monitoring systems and control of procurement processes for the Project and other implementing agencies.
