Reporting to the Minister of Public Enterprises, drs. Eline van der Linden is a member of the Corporate Advisory Reform Unit in the Ministry of Public Enterprises in Namibia is spearheading the transformation of the public enterprise sector in Namibia, creating a culture of good corporate governance and working closely with the commercial public enterprises towards optimising Shareholder Value. She bring economic analysis skills, and project management and management of change expertise to the team.
In the impact investing space, drs. Eline van der Linden promotes investments in projects with an intended positive socio-economic and/or environmental impact. She is currently promoting the development of a large scale student accommodation project and is also active in the water-friendly sanitation sector. Drs. van der Linden has engaged two Associate Directors to support the various investment initiatives.
As the Deputy CEO, drs. Eline van der Linden successfully concluded the implementation of the US$304.5 million Millennium Challenge Account Namibia Compact (2009-2015) with investments in the education, agriculture and tourism sectors. She led a team of 30 professionals and was a member of the Executive Committee with direct reporting to the MCA Namibia Board, Sector Ministers and at times to Cabinet as well as to the Millennium Challenge Corporation. A diverse portfolio of projects across the 3 sectors was implemented, and support with more generic functions such as infrastructure, monitoring & evaluation and social and environmental assessment.
