Currently with ICRISAT (www.icrisat.org) as Head of Finance and designated as Acting Director Finance since 1-Apr-2018 reporting to Director General.
As Head of Finance, I am responsible for financial planning, budgets, analysis, donor reporting and MIS, managing a team size of 21.
Key Accomplishments:
• Led the budget preparation, finalization and submission for a new Research Program which will commence in 2017 through 2022 with the total project cost of $ 458 Mn. This entailed extensive collaboration and brainstorming with Research Directors, DDG-R, Program Managers in addition to Finance teams of various other centers.
• Was nominated as “Peer Reviewer” consecutively for 2 years and reviewed the financials of two other sister organizations within the Consortium and submitted recommendations. My reviews were well received and appreciated.
• Project Manager for the upgrade of Financial Systems (Sun Systems) and implementation of P2P modules. I initiated and led the finance systems/process transformation which was pending for 15 years, right from RFP, negotiation with Pre-sales to requirements gathering, design, deployment and support. In June 2017, entire global roll-out is completed.
• Project Manager for ERP solution for Seeds operations at our Malawi site.
• Represented ICRISAT at the Executive Meeting of Corporate Services and Finance at Montpellier, France in 2017 and 2018.

• Was Officer In Charge (OIC) for a period of 3 months for Assistant Director General-Finance from Jan to Mar’18 and Acting Director Finance from 1st April’18.
• Presented 2017 Financials and 2018 Budget to the Governing Board at Lilongwe and got their approval. Further, made management representations before the Audit Committee and presented an overview of 2017 Financials.

Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis & Pricing – I led FP&A function for Corporate Services (44mn USD budget) and Operations Metrics reporting along with FP&A function for Team Fund and Travel expense lines for PAN India. During the period 2011-13, I managed the FP&A for Technology (14mn USD budget) in addition to Pricing.
Key Accomplishments:
• Achieved savings of ~ USD 200K for 2013 through due diligence and devising ways for efficiency in spending.
• Rolled out the pricing message map for 2012, 2013 and 2014 by offering pricing cuts across the board in line with the strategy of senior management, my scope covered around 15K billable associates.
• Recipient of Bank of America Global Recognition Silver, Bronze Awards and “Coach” award.
• Editor of Finance newsletter that is published on a quarterly basis.

• Reviewed technology proposals from finance perspective and participated in e-bidding exercises.

• Led the first implementation of Oracle Project Resource Management in Satyam.
• With this implementation, Temenos was able to manage the resource needs, project profitability and utilization, by locating and deploying qualified and available resources to contract projects.

2. Implementation of GSM (Oracle ERP) at World Health Organization (WHO), Headquarters, Geneva - Modules Lead & Deputy Team Lead (Multi-Million Dollar project)
• Worked with end customers to design and implement two applications ‘Work planner’ and ’Composite Plan’ that are self-service applications, tightly integrated with Oracle and enabled WHO in collaborative development of the work plans (health plans), budgetary controls, technical monitoring and donor reporting in accordance with public sector accounting.
• Managed and supervised the work of 6 regional focal points based at six regional offices of WHO.

3. Executed projects for other clients like Ministry of Education, Singapore and Cisco Systems and handled several RFPs during my stint at Satyam.
