Served as Team Lead, overseeing a staff of 5 specialists to deliver urban planning, architecture and engineering of the One UN House in Lilongwe. Developed full design plans, time/work-plan and costing for a modern, green, user-oriented UN Office integrated with local community and culture.
Utilized best practices in urban resilience planning and engineering to deliver child-friendly schools factoring in urbanization, population, environment, resilience and climate change. Implemented Living Schools strategies with children as makers for schoolyard transformation and participatory urban planning.
Provided quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation, including technical oversight of a child-friendly school construction portfolio. Delivered a teacher training college to serve 600, 12 primary schools and a DFID-funded nation-wide WASH program. Led two studies on building materials, costs and standards in school design and construction that were shared with the Government of Malawi and Development Partners
