Role
The Advisor will play a an important role within the company in Ghana, as part of the commercial agricultural team.
He will report to the Commercial Agriculture Director and will work closely with the company's project teams.

Main Responsibilities
1. Project Development manager of a farming hub - 50%
2. Management support commercial agricultural businesses - 40%
3. Agricultural Advisor for Investment teams in West Africa (occasionally) - 10%

Detailed Duties

Project Development Manager:
- Responsible for overall project implementation
- Delivery of project activities
- Develop strategic partnerships with commercial farming companies
- Controlling the budget and that project policies are followed
- Implement the development of new farms

Management Support Commercial Agricultural Businesses
- Overseeing farm management
- Creating effective protocols for crop farming
- Oversight of operational budgets and monthly reports
- Management of the health, safety and environmental policies
- Evaluating current processes and identifing improvements
- Responsible for progress

Agricultural Advisor
- Assessment of investment opportunities
- Providing in depth agronomy information

Qualification
- A university degree in agriculture or extensive experience in this field
- Direct experience in West Africa with managing agri-businesses
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
- Ability to deliver projects independently
- Manage other members of the team

Job Description
The position is a full time for Business advisor/Financial specialist for Ivory Coast with good knowledge of the West Africa fruit sector. The advisor is responsible for providing hands-on approach to fruit companies; assisting in developing business plans and proposals for funds.

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the key responsibilities of the Business Advisor and Financial Specialist include:
- Organization of quarterly Business Platform meetings; which are high-level meetings for private sector representatives, researchers and policy makers.
- Development of new commercial loan products specifically focused at fruit sector in Ivory Coast and possible Burkina Faso, targeting both smallholder farmers and small-and medium sized companies.
- Management of two cluster development funds that target specific fruit hotspots in the Ivory Coast and possible Burkina Faso; develop a multi stakeholder platform and public-private action agenda.
- Support trade missions, trade fairs and other business-to-business activities.
- Pro-actively explore new Business Opportunities in the West Africa fruit sector.

Qualifications
- Candidate must be Bi-lingual with good working knowledge in English and French.
- Minimum ten years’ experience working in private sector development, preferably in Ivory Coast’s horticulture sector;
- Minimum of five years’ experience in project management in leadership positions;
- Master’s degree in one of the following: business administration, agricultural economics/extension, business administration, and/or related field;

Excellent analytical and written skills for developing business case studies and contributing to sector reports;
- Proficiency in the use of computer Microsoft office applications;
- Business minded within a development contact focused on commercialisation of the fruit sector (inclusive business).

Project Manager (m/f) for Conflict Transformation, Berbérati, Central African Republic

Your new field of activity
Since the end of 2014, the Berbérati region has been considered a safe zone within the Central African Republic. The return of mostly Muslim refugees from Cameroon, who sought refuge there during the riots between 2010 and 2014, holds potential for conflict. Conflicts arise from the general hatred towards members of the Muslim religion and from the ownership claims that the returnees make on their former businesses, farms or other possessions. The aim is to deepen the existing dialogue approaches and to strengthen cooperation between the cross-border dioceses of Bertoua (Cameroon) and Berbérati in resolving these conflicts.
The Commission Diocésaine Justice et Paix (CDJP) Berbérati needs support in strengthening cooperation with the national Commission Justice et Paix (CEJP) and the regional representation of the Central African Interreligious Understanding Forum. Cautiousness and prudence are necessary in order to accompany those responsible in building sustainable relationships and structures.

In detail, you will take on the following tasks:
• You will organise measures for the training and further education of employees in conflict-sensitive project management and in planning, monitoring and evaluation.
• Together with the diocesan Justitia-et-Pax Commission, You establish peace structures at parish level.
• You advise the diocesan Justitia-et-Pax Commission on the establishment of sustainable dialogue forums and on networking.
• You advise on the development of strategies for generating one's own income.
• You ensure the proper disbursement and administration of funds locally in accordance with the donor guidelines and the specifications of the AGEH. You work in partnership with the partner organisation.

Your profile
• You have a university degree relevant to development cooperation (political sciences, social sciences, social pedagogy, social work) and at least two years' professional experience, ideally gained outside Europe.
• In addition, you have further competences in the fields of human rights work, refugee work, civil conflict management, mediation and psychosocial work.
• You have sound knowledge of organisational development, quality management, project management and M&E.
• You have already successfully taken on training measures and advisory tasks.
• You have diplomatic skills, intercultural communication skills for working in partnership and can act appropriately in the church environment.
• You are prepared to travel under simple conditions.
• You speak French, English and German very well, are ideally an EU citizen or Swiss citizen and belong to a Christian church.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the management of the Regional ProcurementUnit and will lead in setting up strategic contracts at regional andsub-regional level, and for the Regional Office. The incumbent will also beresponsible for supporting the development and execution of global and regionalsourcing strategies and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the RegionalProcurement Unit in processing international procurement transactions forcountry offices in the WCA region. In order to be successfulyou will have:
- A Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Management or related area, Master's degree an advantage
- At least five years procurement management level experience in logistics/supply chain in the NGO sector, within complex/large scale country programmes and in emergency response/humanitarian environments. Public and Private sector experience will be evaluated, but a minimum experience in NGO sector is highly advisable.
- 3 years international experience is must. Experience at Regional Procurement management level a strong advantage.
- Experience in running complex and high volume procurement processes and in high volume (1M USD+) contracts negotiation
- Experience working with large institutional donors and knowledge of their rules and regulations
- Experience in medical supply chain is a strong asset.
- Ability to synthesize and analyse information, and make clear, informed decisions
- Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
- Strong planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities

Inyenyeri uses a fuel-side, or utility company, approach to ensure that even the poorest Rwandan households have access to clean cooking fuel and high quality gasifying cook stoves. Inyenyeri’s revenue stream is derived from the sale of biomass cooking fuel pellets. Our solution is a cleaner, healthier, faster, cheaper and more sustainable alternative to charcoal and wood cooking. Inyenyeri has a current staff complement of approximately 164 staff.
About the Role
Inyenyeri seeks highly motivated and experienced professionals to fill the position of VP Finance, who will required providing financial management leadership services to the Company.
LEADERSHIP:
• Understanding the strategic direction of the Company, providing high level, proactive financial expertise and leadership to the company as a whole and direction for both short and long term financial planning.
• Advising the CEO and Board of Directors on the financial implications, of business/project activities.
• Developing finance related materials for Board Meetings and assisting CEO in developing any additional materials for Board Meetings
• Playing a proactive role in the process of business planning, in collaboration with C-level and VP level of the company, with geographic scope widening from Rwanda to Sub-Sahara Africa;
• Leading the design and implementation of the structure of financial team and all financial operations of the company.
• Providing internal leadership and direction to direct reports within the Finance Division.
• Assisting in recruiting new personnel for the department and develop training models for the department's staff.
• Training the finance department and other staff in financial management matters.
• Responsibility for the Financial Accountability of the business
FINANCES:
• Actively managing company cash flow and generating relevant cash flow projections and forecasting.
• Directing all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
• Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and project budgets and actual expenditures.
• Preparing of periodic management and statutory financials.
• Overseeing timely and accurate reporting and payment of taxes, including VAT, PAYE and RSSB and annual income taxes

• Coordinating annual audits with Company auditors.
• Overseeing the production of monthly reports including reconciliations as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by management, as well as the Board of Directors.

• Consistently analysing financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitoring progress and changes and keeping senior leadership abreast of the company’s financial status.

• Managing timely computation, payment and submission of all statutory deductions while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Overseeing business insurance plans and coverage analysis.

• Develop recommendations for currency risk management and procedures for currency conversion.
FINANCING:

• Assisting the CIO in preselecting funds, investors and financial institutions, and, on ‘project’ basis, managing an opportunity till closure.
• Driving the effort to get export financing & insurance facilities from European development agencies.
• Managing the relationship with selected financial partners.
• With the CIO, developing materials for potential investors including presentations and data rooms.
POLICIES:
• Developing and implementing comprehensive policies for financial operations and guidelines.
• Ensuring that all finance guidelines and related administrative procedures are adhered to.
• Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP/IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Back stopping the accounting team and the quality assurance of the accounting system.
• Applying and demonstrating high quality financial and other related management controls.

OPERATIONS:
• Participating in the Operational Review meetings and represent the finance division in those meetings.
• Primary interface on all banking, treasury and board-level presentations.
• Preparing terms of reference and overseeing the consultancy in the field of the financial advisory firms to be engaged by the Company.
• Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and legal compliances.
• Assisting in the development and implementation the company's ESOP program.
• Keeping track of the company's debt and equity capitalization tables, including options granted under the company's ESOP.

• Experience in structuring and monitoring equity investments and loans;
• Experience in shaping finance organizations and systems in at least one organization;
• Proven track record in structuring export finance deals with European agencies, in collaboration with suppliers is a pre;
• Having worked in international organizations with various forms and maturity of governance;
• Work experience in at least three out of five EAC countries a real pre;
Education:
· At least a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or business analytics;
· Follow-up courses in finance, governance.
Languages:
· English a must; Swahili and Kinyarwanda will be an added value.
